Someone years ago introduced me to the dulcimer – both the mountain dulcimer as well as the hammered dulcimer. To this day, a recording of hammered dulcimer hymns is still one of my favorite instrumental recordings.
I know several of you play the dulcimer for your church ministries, and perhaps others are contemplating picking it up.
The following are several internet resources to easily find the sheet music to play on your dulcimer.
This post is designed to provide an idea of a few of the resources available for a beginning student or at an easy-to-play level.

This hymn is often little-known in our circles; however, I believe its message is one worthy of mention.
The following are the words to the first verse:
What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul, what wondrous love is this, O my soul! What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss to bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul, to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
Wow! – Impactful . . . Right?
(For music theory aficionados, this is a hymn written in the dorian mode.)
