Blessed Is the Man – Scripture Song from Psalm 1

I am always appreciative of songs that are direct quotes of Scripture.

This is one of those:

Psalm 1 has been put to music in the song “Blessed Is the Man.” It is a song based on the words from Psalm 1 – A great passage of Scripture for young people too!

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.


But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.


And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Ps. 1:1-3

The music fits so appropriately to the words, and the words are amazing!

Comforting Audio Songs During Times of Sorrow, Stress, etc. (Can Also Be Beneficial at a Memorial Service)

Are You Washed in the Blood – Great Doctrinal Song

Have you ever considered the doctrine in this song?

Incredible, incredible depth – if you think of those words . . .

Perhaps how many in the congregation are truly not “washed in the blood.” (Perhaps not “trusting in His grace…”)

How absolutely convicting, how emphatic!

This quote had been going through my mind during a time of much difficulty.

It brings to mind the passages from the Psalms regarding being under God’s wings.

“I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler….” Ps. 91:2-4
